This site can help you:
- Turn your mobile phone into useful tool for learning new foreign words;
- Top up your vocabulary with new words;
- Learn irregular words of foreign languages;
- Learn reading of Japanese kanji;
This project is created as helper tool for learning foreign languages and extending vocabulary by method of multiple repeating of words to be learned. Currently service provides the on line website and mobile client for android phones. We are also planning to create client for iPhone, JavaME and other mobile platforms. Desktop client software for Windows, Mac and Linux also coming soon.
The work with this service is very simple. All words to be learned are being groupped by user dictionaries, which are being loaded into mobile device, then user have repeat these words in the form of game tasks. All users can create own dictionaries or copy existings dictionaries that was created by another site users.
The learning is being conducted in several stages. First stage is learning - during this stage the software is showing to user words with translations in order to alow user memorize it. Afterwords user should guess correct translation for each words shown on the screen, your should find correct translation among several alternatives, where is only one is correct. Each test is being conducted in both derections, the forward direction when user should find the translation for the word, and backward direction - user should find a word for presented translation. Once MCQ test is done user should write a translation for given words, then write original words word for its translation.
Еще одной важной особенностью данного сервиса является двусторонняя синхронизация информации между сайтом и мобильным клиентом. Одновременно можно пользоваться несколькими мобильными клиентами, например, с мобильного телефона и с планшета. Статистика о процессе обучения будет синхронизирована между устройствами и изучив одно слово на одном из устройств, можно будет продолжить изучение нового слова на другом. Новые слова можно вводить как на сайте, так и в самом мобильном клиенте.
Благодаря наличию у одного слова нескольких вариантов перевода данный сервис можно использовать, например, для изучения неправильных глаголов а также для изучения вариантов чтения японских канзей.
Создатель этого проекта создавал его для себя, но он надеется, что этот проект окажется полезен всем, кто изучает иностранные языки.
